Pidge is a special girl.  Her previous owners didn't spend the proper amount of time with her to let her adjust or get the exercise and mental stimulation that she needs.  She's going to require a quiet home, with not a lot of people in & out all the time.  She thrives with lots of quiet time. 

That being said, Pidge can be really active and busy, but on her own terms, when she wants to be.  She could be described as independent, and also needy of attention...but when she wants it.  She'd do best with someone (or a couple) who can take her on a run everyday, and in a home where there's not much noise or activity.  Kids would be really stressful for Pidge.  She just doesn't have the patience.

She won't be easy to transition post-adoption, so stock up on your patience!  She'll need lots of love, attention, and quiet time to decompress.  She was assessed by a dog behaviorist and it was determined that Pidge's anxiety hits hard when the her home life becomes busy with activity.  She doesn't adjust well to change.  She'll need gradual introductions to anyone who comes in & out of the home frequently.  

She must have a physical fence that is at least 6-feet tall.  She can climb a fence and is considered a flight risk / escape artist, so any outside time must be supervised at all times.

She loves to play tug, and enjoys long walks and car rides.  She will absolutely require daily exercise to satisfy her needs. Pidge is a very active dog and would do well with someone who likes to run.
